The machine usually starts with a roll of desiccant packets. The continuous roll is fed into the machine where individual desiccant packets are cut for separation.

A cutting mechanism, such as a rotary cutter or blade, precisely separates individual desiccant from the roll.

The separated desiccant are conveyed via belts or guides to the insertion point.
